About

We are all too familiar with being “PD’ed” to death, where outside consultants or district staff implement what Linda Darling-Hammond calls “drive by, spray and pray, flavor of the month” professional development. In this workshop, educators and contributors to Our Schools Reformed: Teachers’ Stories About Education Reform will share their experiences shaping teacher-led professional development. We will collectively create plans and discuss effective ways to implement them in participants’ own contexts.

This site is a place for a community of teachers to share challenges, solutions and resources for creating a teacher led PD's

Each teachers will share:

1. A brief profile
2. Problems you have experienced with professional development for teachers
3. Solutions to these problems that worked in your community
4. Resources or lesson plans
